Newly established enterprises in January 2021 had flourishes when increasing in most of the fields. Out of a total of nearly 10.1 thousand newly established enterprises have 3,366 enterprises in the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorbikes, an increase of 65.2% compared to the same period in 2020; 1,265 manufacturing enterprises, an increase of 4%; 1,220 construction enterprises, an increase of 14.6%; 874 enterprises in the science, technology, consultation service, designing, advertisement and others, increased by 5.8%; 600 enterprises in the real estate activities, an increase of 33.3%; 520 enterprises in the employment services, travel, renting and leasing of machinery, equipment and other support services, up 3.6%; 459 enterprises in the transportation and storage, expanding 6.7%; 204 enterprises in the production and distribution of electricity, water, gas, an increase of 102%; 110 enterprises in the financial, banking and insurance activities, increased by 7.8%; 81 enterprises in human health and social work activities, up 50%; 58 enterprises in mining and quarrying, an increase of 87.1%.

The confidence of enterprises and investors in Vietnam’s economic prospects is also reflected in the amount of registered capital added to the economy in January 2021 with 395.1 trillion VND, rose by 10.5% compared to the same period last year, of which  the registered capital of newly established enterprises was 155.1 trillion VND, up 25.9%.  Some industries have a strong increase in registered capital compared to January 2020: Human health and social work activities climbing up 624.4%; production and distribution of electricity, water, gas, an increase of 407.3%; real estate activities rose by 209.4%; employment services, travel, renting and leasing of machinery, equipment and other support services increased by 132.8%; agriculture, forestry and fishery rose by 52.6%; mining and quarrying an increase of 55%.

In order to create a more favorable and safe business environment for the establishment and operation of enterprises in the coming time, the Government has issued Decree No. 01 dated 04/01/2021 on business registration. This is the first Decree issued by the Government in 2021, concretizing the reforms and innovations of the Enterprise Law and overcoming shortcomings and handling outstanding problems. Thus, together with Decree 01/ND-CP, Resolution 02/NQ-CP on improving the business environment shows the Government’s strong determination in the promotion of starting-up, innovation, and arousing and upholding all resources for national development.
