The publication includes 26 detailed tabulations processed from the 2019 Population and Housing Census database, presenting the most major results of the 2019 Viet Nam Population and Housing Census by administrative levels.
The gross domestic product (GDP) in 2015 was estimated to increase 6.68% compared to 2014, of which the growth rate of the first, second, third and fourth quarter reached 6.12%, 6.47%, 6.87%, and7.01%, respectively. This year’s growth was higher than the target of 6.2% and higher than the growth rate of the years 2011-2014.

The General Statistics Office (GSO) held the conference on dissemination of the results and closing of the 2019 Vietnam Population and Housing Census (hereafter called the 2019 Census) on the morning of 19 December, 2019 in Hanoi.
The publication outlines the outstanding content and data on the indicators: population size and structure, fertility rate, mortality rate, migration and urbanization, education, labor and employment, housing.
The 2019 Population and Housing Census collected basic information on the demographics of over 96.2 million people who were primary residents of nearly 26.9 million households in Viet Nam at 0:00 a.m. on 1 April 2019.
In the morning, July 11, 2019, an online conference to announce preliminary results of the 2019 population and housing census of Vietnam (hereafter called the 2019 Census) was held in Hanoi.
